Compassionate counseling for individuals and groups
The first thing we lose when life comes at us is our hope. The road to recovery for things like depression, anxiety, emotional / physical / sexual abuse, unresolved trauma, relational problems, faith issues and much more - all starts with hope.
Hope for healing and a hope for a better future.
Exploring life's hurts and hardships in counselling is a positive way to see clearer, process through things and resolve issues; this means being able to move forward in life, freer and with less hurdles.
Having someone to journey with you in a caring and empathetic way is helpful to working through painful or debilitating problems.
Hope Restored Counselling focus on a person-centred counselling approach. The person-centred approach is a talk therapy designed to work at the pace of the client and deal with the things that the client wants to deal with. Using several appropriate modalities.
People go to therapy for all sorts of issues. Talking to someone trained to help and perhaps give a different perspective on things is useful to deal with difficulties and the challenges we all face in life.
Hope Restored Counsellors are registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This means working to the highest indusstry standards regarding all aspects of client work and client care. The client therapist relationship is absolutely confidential and clients can be assured this point is held in the highest regard.
One to one counselling is a purposeful therapeutic relationship where a mutual trust and respect is cultivated. The therapist is responsible for providing a safe relationship and environment for the client to feel they matter and their healing journey matters and, that it is possible to move forward.
The therapist is responsible for guiding the therapy; this is done in such a way as to be responsive to the client, not dictatorial towards the client. The safe relationship is a 'felt experience' build on trust and understanding of the clients needs, whether in person or online.
The premise for the group is that, supporting and learning from each other, with the help of a counsellor guiding the group is beneficial to processing grief and the healing journey.
Bereavement is painful and takes time to process, time to move through and to come to terms with.
This group is a good way to feel you’re not alone and there is hope.
